I see today that Ryanair claim to have stopped TUI UK from making bookings by screenscraping their website. I believe that the majority of tour operators are well aware of the Low Cost Airlines attituded to adding fees and they are simply seeking to book LCA seats to offer clients an inclusive service that is good for the operator and customer. Booking the LCA together with accomodation and ground and resort services such as car rental and transfers allows operators to secure bookings in a single transaction and still gives them control of their own margins. This offers the public the security of bonding with the alleged cost savings of low cost carriers.

Ryanair has always been against the travel trade and is at least consistant in its views. It wants to ensure that only it can add extra charges to its flights and in order to do so must have total control over distribution. Fair enough but being hard ****d wins it no friends but does it care? NO! The trade will simply book with Flybe.com and easyjet etc who will let them book. Ryanair will simply take care of its self.

I would also add my support to Multicom for their integrety in taking Ryanair to the European court, in order to get the whole issue settled once and for all. Good luck guys!
