A lot has been written about Dynamic Packaging. Usually -in the UK at least - it means Travel Agents using web based products to put a 'package' together for their clients. This gives them a useful weapon to fight back against suppliers selling direct.

Now Mach Associates introduce their web based solution for Tour Operators who want to offer real 'Dynamic Packages'.  Our client Skiweekends.com is about to launch their new web site. It offers accommodation only so customers can make their own travel arrangements and coach travel for packages.

The real news is that for air travel using Low Cost Carriers the web site builds a package dynamically. When a customer choses a travel date their MARS reservations system offers the lowest cost flight and combines it with the transfer and hotel accommoadtion (of choice) to construct a package. That not all, a list of alternative flights and supplementary costs are provided so that the client can select the flight timings and costs that suit them the best. Thats what I call service!!
