Live Web Hotel Bookings Now Possible With Mach Systems

On-line hotel specialist Open Roads is now offering customers live Web bookings thanks to its Mach Associates systems.

Open Roads now uses three elements of Mach Associates technology to give customers live web bookings for its TourKits packages.

Online TourKits packages are made on the web using Mach Associates' 'Webookit' live web booking system, which is then linked to the MARS reservations system by Mach Associates' ERS Connect suite, which cuts the cost of communications.

Said Mach Associates Managing Director Bruce Hodge: "This new end to end system gives Open Roads the ability to bring together hotels and travel for its TourKits product, package these dynamically and make them available on the web in a far more cost effective way than would have been possible in the past".

Webookit turns any 'on-line brochure' site into a live booking engine - and because it is so straight forward to use the tour operator designs his own booking process, saving time and money.

Mach Associates' ERS Connect replaces the expensive standard connections to GDSs and similar booking systems with a low cost Internet link to Mach Associates' MARS reservation system, which gives both large operators and small specialists the ability to compete with established on-line sellers for a share of Internet sales.

Added Bruce Hodge: "The whole system is part of our new Zero Administration initiative to cut down administration costs, which will be launched in the near future".
